H.R.1317: To amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to provide a tax credit to individuals who pay their mortgages on time. - Source
If you were to look here you would find about 300+ bills with the words "revenue act of 1986" in them. My question to the class is thing: How many of the bills fall within the guidelines set by the enumerated powers? Please read on.
President Obama continues to be very nuanced and is actively courting a press that is openly in love with him. That's great, we saw it with Bull Clinton back in the 90's and we'll see it again. My beef with both the President and the Media is that each is hammering a negative message about the economy instead of pumping up the positive. If you tell enough people that things are bad, they are going to hunker down and stop spending money. And, if you have any ties with the local small businessmen, you know I am right.
Once again we are calling on the President and the Congress to stop the Anti-Constitutional use of tax monies found in the stimulus package, the changes again to the income tax code, and the earmarks. It is time to lead by example instead of perpetuating a class war by demonizing the very wealthy. It is time to lead by example by passing the fair tax instead of modifying the tax code again, and again, and again.
